Ten-Print Comparison Competency Testing

Designed to assess the competence of those new to the fingerprint profession it assesses the participants ability to search inquiry sets of ten-prints against the reference collection of ten-prints, to successfully identify or exclude individual prints against the same reference collection supplied and to assess the suitability of the inquiry set to be added to the reference collection.

 

Finger and Palm Mark Comparison Competency Testing

This is an abridged version of the FCOM PT scheme designed to be carried out at the same time. However, instead of assessing the full end to end finger/palm mark comparison process it assesses the participants ability to successfully result the marks provided only. Participants wishing to have their processes assessed should go to the FCOM page.

Crime Scene Investigation Competency Testing

Scene Examination

This competency test is designed to assess the participants ability to effectvely search a scene and locate, record, recover and package various evidence types. This test can be set up at the Participants location or at our facilities. Please go to SCSI for more information

 

Powdering Techniques

This is an abridged version of the FMAT-Powder PT scheme which is carried out at the same time but assesses an individual participant's ability to successfully visualise and recover deposited finger and palm marks on various substrates using powdering and recovery techniques. It does not assess the full end to end process. Participants wishing to have their powdering processes assessed should go to the FMAT page.

Forensic Focus Retain Their Place on Cumbria County Council Learning & Development Procurement Framework

Proficiency Test Accreditation Extended for Indanedione

Forensic Focus Win Place on Two Further Training & Development Frameworks

In 2017 we successfully won places on a further two training and development frameworks; one for councils and emegency services in Yorkshire and the other for all councils in Scotland.
